Cy-Fair CERT (CFC) will continue 2021 CERT Training this fall. CFC has been approved to conduct Class 37 by Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HCOHSEM). Class 37 will begin on 21 Sept (ending on 09-Nov). Class will be held at the Lone Star College-Cy-Fair Emergency Education Services Center (ESEC – 18132 West Road, Cypress, TX 77433 – part of the fire station located west of the Lone Star College).
COVID protocols to be used include social distancing, mask requirements, and the class size is limited to 20 participants. Registration for Class 37 is now open.
There is NO FEE for this 8 week Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) class (FEMA requires that each class be comprised of 8 modules, CFC classes are held on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, an 8 week commitment, one evening a week). You will receive a class manual and backpack with starter supplies such as a hardhat and safety vest. Upon graduation you receive a certificate and official CERT ID badge.
